Just a quick one.
The operation of the tuner, are the presets stored on the empeg or on the tuner?

Having them stored on the empeg means that you can disconnect the battery on the tuner without losing all your presets, a 'feature' I hate on my CD HU. It also means that if the empeg is taken between docking cages, the presets remain the same for that empeg.

If they are stored on the tuner, They could be volotile if power is removed. But if someone else puts their empeg in your car, they have the same presets.

On MK1 presets are stored on empeg (the tuner inside too) and they are stored when you disconnect the player. I don't think they changed that.

Each tuner module can have a unique ID (up to 16) and store it's unique presets/info/etc.

Presets are stored in the empeg, on disk, and are non-volatile.

Sorry, I left the office shortly after midnight - I'm bad.

Presets are stored on the player. The ID could be used to switch preset banks (in a future version) so this is the most flexible solution.

That's not quite how it works. You can have up to 16 vehicles, move your empeg between them, and it will adopt the appropriate personality (EQ etc) for each one. This isn't implemented yet, but it might be in 2.0.

So everyone who is keen on completing their empeg collection should buy 16 tuners and 16 vehicles...

Jeez, those new Ford trucks are quite big, aren't they? See this for more information.

I'm building a component box with 16 sleds and a tuner for each. Then I'll have the ability to switch between 16 equalizer presets without pressing any buttons - I just plug my empeg into the right slot.
