I know this is mentioned in the faq but it seems that my icon goes thru 4 stages and not 3. I get:

1. No icon
2. Empty box
3. Box with dim line
4. Box with bright line

I understand 1, 3, and 4 but what does 2 mean?

I brought that one up when they were composing that FAQ entry, and as I seem to recall, everyone else seemed to deny that #2 even existed.

I also, would like to know what that means, so I can update the FAQ. Anyone?

Well, OK, I looked up the thread again. No one was denying anything, they just didn't know.

I thought I answered this once: according to an ancient post by someone from empeg, and in agreement with my observations, an empty box means drive being spun up or down (i.e. spinning, but not at nominal angular speed).
