Playback stutters once everytime I start up my empeg in the car. I don't know why, but I think it has something to do with the volume ramping up. I've never had this problem before 2.0b3.

Same here, but I don't think it has anything to do with volume, but disk access. Try and put it to pause before rebooting it, then, upon reboot, wait ten seconds (until disk access stops) before unpausing. No stuttering.

Same problem here, but not 100% of the time. It also happens after I've done something dramatic, like Hate Artist away half the playlist, or FF/REW ten minutes or so.

I need to swap sleds to I can watch the serial port when this happens.

Same problem here. It's not the disk or vol-ramp-up though, but rather some error messages going out the serial link that seem to result in the power-on stutter. Messages like this one:

E !! mp3_decoder.cpp 1052: Failed to seek to offset 2760289, error=0xc0044000

I'm seeing this, as well. It happens every time I start up the player.
