Will display server 2.0beta work with version 2.00 beta 3 of the empeg software?

if so, how would I upload the ds2b2.mp3 file to my empeg. when I try in emplode, I get an error saying that the mp3 file is corrupt.

You have to un-tar the file and send it to the player yourself. This is tricky if you don't know your way around the shell prompt. You can also screw things up if you forget to readonly-mount the partition when you're done. Also, WinZip will screw up the file if you untar it using the default options (you have to turn off the smart cr/lf conversion).

My advice: If you want to use Displayserver, use it on 1.03 only until it's been made more friendly for 2.0.

The easiest way to install displayserver on 2.0b3 is downgrade to 1.03, upload ds2b3.mp3 to the empeg using emplode, upgrade to 2.0b3 and run empackager. It will find the uploaded mp3 and start the install-program...
