I've seen reports of people having lots of synch troubles with 2.0b3.

I wanted to report that I just got done synching over 300 megs of files in one shot, and didn't get any kind of glitch or error.

I used ethernet, by the way.

My point is you can't blame me for not catching any synch bugs when it was still in Alpha. I honestly didn't get any and still don't.

I take that back.

Well, OK, then I'm reporting that all your synch bugs will probably be taken care of in the next beta.

I would agree with your first post, to a point. I did a sync the other day, well over 2Gb. Sweet and rosey all the way.

However I tweek a few tags and the connection falls over in a sorry mess. I have to say that there are times that I really hate that cookie implementation at the moment. I cant do a retry of the sync, I HAVE to restart the player and Emplode (losing my tag changes) and start again.

I do have better (non-scientifically proven) success with ethernet connection than USB. I do like the cool icons in the emplode discovery window

The next beta will feature a cookie implementation more like 1.0's. Hands up anyone who even noticed 1.0's cookie implementation...

Remember that you have to downgrade both the player AND the emplode software...

I think I noticed it once.

My gf was logged into my empeg via ethernet and making LOTS of changes.
I logged in via ethernet from my computer and made a quick change and synced.
Gf hit the sync button and got very mad at me very shortly afterwards.

Needless to say... she wasn't happy and I didn't get the benefit of a doubt as to making a mistake. I just did something that was wrong and I should have known better. Ahhhh women... can't live with them, and they can't pee standing up. :)

This is about as off topic as this BBS has ever been.

I have to agree here no issues with syncs, though my syncs are usually around 20 gigs at a time. (I like a clean slate once in a while)
