Directron.com has a huge case selection. They are usually the first ones I check for new/odd designs.

Directron.com has a huge case selection.

Oooh, they have Yeong Yang YY-0221 cubes. They rule. Although not as much as the (sadly discontinued) YY-0210 ruled.

Thanks for that Directron link. Had never heard of them, but, yup, huge selection and, unlike so many sites, good product descriptions.

I now have 2 of the Lian-Li PC-60USB cases. Way too much money, but worth it (Huh????)

I haven't seen a completely transparent case yet, but side windows seem to be all the rage. This place sells a kit to let you cut and fit a window on any case -- and they even sell neon lights if you want to stare at an illuminated motherboard!

Okay, maybe it's just me, but aren't computer cases supposed to block RF emissions by being Faraday cages? And isn't having a big plexiglas hole in the side (or being completely transparent) kinda going to defeat that purpose?

It's not just you. Also, to the extent that manufacturers tout the marginal heat dissipation benefits of an aluminum case, replacing a big chunk of it with Lexan doesn't seem like an improvement.

'Course, one of the other supposed benefits of the alu case is lighter weight to tote to LAN parties. Once you get there, how are you supposed to show off your mobo without that Lexan and neon???
