Just like everybody else, I am looking for a MK2 tuner. You would think that sonicblue would have made more of these.

There were 1000 made, with the intention of making more. Then EOL for the carplayer came along, and it became a lot harder to get accessories made for EOL products.

We are looking into the possibilities of getting more made, but it will almost definitely require pre-ordering and there may be a usual electronic-manufacturing lead time (2-3 months).

If the price for the tuner ends up about the same as the last bunch, I'll definitely want one. I suppose you'll let us all know if/when you're ready for pre-orders.

My personal opinion is that it'd end up at the original price of $100 (as opposed to the US-store sell-off price of $70). Taking the risk to make more means that there has to be sufficient margin to make it worthwhile.

I just ordered two 30G riocars on the web store. If I get them, I will very much like to pre-order at least one additional tuner.

Also, I would very much like to buy several blind-mate connectors (plus pins and crimp tool), as used on the docking sled. The application would be several custom cables for my home and work (I already have two car sleds). If sonic blue won't sell them, would you mind sending me the part numbers?

I bought a tuner with my personal 20GB purchase, but did not buy them with the two units I just recieved for family. They are both interested in a tuner but not at the gouging prices on eBay.

I think there are probably a large number of existing empeg owners who would like one as well.

The original price is fine with me.

If SONICblue/empegUK still have the e-mail addresses of past buyers, they could just circulate the offer and see what bites they get before committing to a production run?

Brick wall? Not to my understanding; just a very tiny gate to get through - finding someone who'd sell 'em in small quantities. They look to be the correct thing and I located the PDF after someone else posted the article number - do a search and ye shall find...

Perhaps one of the guys@empeg could confirm whether or not it is the correct part(s)...

Just for the record, nobody is collecting any statistics from this thread - we already know people want tuners!
