I've been using such a service here in Norway.
I got a mailbox in the US, (Asia also available). The US company sends the package to my US mail adress. My Norwegian freight forwarder service 'polls' this box every 2nd day. (I think it is) together with many other boxes for other people.
Sends it to Norway all together, this makes the shipping cheaper.
The forwader does all the custom clearance, and the package is shipped with The Norwegian Post to my door, all whitin 7-10 days. The postage prices are based on weight, so it it normally pretty easy to know what the cost will be.

I didn't even get a power supply with my Rio Car!! Good thing I already have one because it would sit dormant for at least a couple weeks...unless I wanted to bring my laptop into my car to transfer files!

Sorry to hear that - that's the fault of the factory, though, not the store. Contact David (support@empeg.com) and he'll send you out one of the cute ones.

Yeah I looks like that is a trend, two of my friends got their player's sans the power supply.. Support is sending them out, but in the mean time they hit Radio Shack for the universal adapte.

Holy cow.

Okay, well, at least we know what's going on now.

I would ask Rob who we're supposed to e-mail to let them know, but it's pretty quickly become a moot point, hasn't it?

I guess you could email Jim to point out that the pickers don't know their arse from their elbow, but I daresay the RMA reports make that pretty obvious.

Oh, I wouldn't be *too* sure. I've heard that most of the figures on the DR management reports get transposed!

Jim forwarded my email to Jodi S. (I don't know if she wants her name public). She says that they are sending out a 10GB player overnight. It looks like this has gotten taken care of (maybe). Hopefully there is some reserve stock.

Thanks Rob, Jim and Jodi for clearing this up.

Could you give me a name/url/email to this mail-forwarder service?

Yes, I am very sorry for bumping this very old thread but it seems this wasn't fully cleared up in January. Plus, there hasn't been too much SB bashing in a while.

I just got an email from a "level 3" tech saying they have no record of receiving the RMA'd Volt. Of course UPS's website says it was delivered and signed for. They can't keep track of what comes in or out, and it takes them 4 months to realize they don't have something when, in fact, they actually do. Oh man.

So did you ever get a replacement rio car? Are you still stuck with the Rio-Volt?

No. I told them I wasn't sending the Volt back until I got the RioCar. Thankfully they overnighted the RioCar.
