Has anyone who ordered after 12/27/01 received a RioCar???
I ordered on the 27th
I hope not as I am getting more and more frustrated that people keep saying they are getting their units.
Customer Service is not much of help and my status stays at "Has product pending shipment".
I was told that this guarantees nothing by SB customer Serv.

I understand of course if I placed my order and all remaining units were already allocated.
But if I miss mine and others get shipped after my order date, then I will be upset.
How much time does it take a warehouse to ship a few hundred orders on one product? Seems to me SB should be able to determine which orders will go and which were placed too late within a few hours.

Can any of the original Empeg guys persuade the SB folks to "at least" figure this out and send out an E-mail to all the orderee's to either confirm or deny?
It would help all the frustrated people on this board…. that is for sure.
I know SB does not do this normally, but I think the oddity of this whole (in stock \ out of stock \ Has product pending shipment) stuff constitutes an explanation from SB.

They can\should do better than this.

I got shipping notification a short while ago on my unit I ordered on the afternoon of the 28th for a 20gb unit.

I had an order placed for a 10 gig on the 27th. It did NOT ship, but a friend's order for a 10 gig on the 28th DID ship. I called and bitched, and they said that they'd look into it. (File a form which would be given to the cust. supp. rep's manager on Monday)

Since then, my 10g status has gone from "has products pending shipment" to "pending shipment" -- a move in the wrong direction. They customer support guy was like.."can't do anything about it until monday... we have no contact with the warehouse"

Quite a crappy system. Good thing this is the only and last thing I'm getting from them!

i ordered on the 23rd and it has not shipped.

Ok, Tally so far....
2 orders on the 28th or later = shipped.
and...
3 orders Before the 28th = Have not shipped.

I ordered a 10 GB player + tuner on the 29th and just got shipping notification for both items!

FedEx tracking indicates they picked up the package today....

Since I never got replies to my email inquiries about my order status, I had given up hope on getting one at the clearance price.

Nice surprise to come home to! Just hope it's not a fluke and that the right thing is on it's way to me.

Mmm.. be interesting to see if the package contains the tuner.. what does your credit card statement (online) suggest?

My friend just got his tracking number. He ordered on the afternoon of the 29th.

I am still waiting, I ordered on the 30th.

I received tracking info for an early 27 December order (20GB) yesterday PM, including the tuner that was listed as "out of stock". We'll see on Monday if the package actually contains the tuner...

Update....
5 orders on the 28th or later = shipped.
and...
3 orders Before the 28th = Have not shipped.
and...
1 order on the 27th = shipped

Whew.... finally, some one with a ship confirmation from the 27th!! but, the Odds look bad for the people who have been waiting the longest or ordered before the 28th so far..

Yeah good point. I just checked.... and my online statement doesn't show any charges from SonicBlue yet. I checked via the automated call system as well... indicates the same balance.

Don't know what to make of that. Maybe they didn't charge the card until today.... and it will show up in the next day or so.

Ordered on the 26th, got my empegs and tuner today.

Thought I'd throw my two cents in...

I ordered a 60GB on the 27th. Received it today.

I have two coming:
10GB ordered on the 26th, shipped 1/2/2
30GB ordered 12/30, shipped 1/4/2
tuner ordered 1/4/2 (I thoght if I got lucky on the 30GB, I might as well try the impossible 8-)... crossing fingers.

On top of all that I had bought a MkI on ebay on the 22nd. Yes, bad timing!!!

I'll expect to sell one of the three. Three is too much. But I don't want to be called names so I'll wait until the excitment dies down.

It arrived today!!!!
The e-Store reported "completed" for order status today (Shipped Sat) and it showed up today.
I also got a confirmation number for a tuner and screen kit I ordered on the 29th.
I am very stoked!
Now to fill 'er up...

Same here. My order is now complete and was shipped out today. I ordered it on the 31th. one 20gb w/o tuner. I should of ordered a tuner also. oh well I'm a very happy camper right now.

Ordered a 10 gig on the 3rd, and a 20 gig on the 4th. Both confirmed to have shipped out today! There is still hope.

It seems I can top this. I wanted an empeg, and dragged my feet way too long. I assumed I would just get one on eBay. On a lark, I went to the Sonic Blue store and ordered a 10 gig on the 6th (long after it reported out of stock), and then a tuner on the 7th (ditto). I've got tracking numbers saying both shipped on the 9th.

It's starting to seem that anyone can order anything at any time from Sonic Blue estore and still get it. Why would anyone even consider eBay without trying this first?

I ordered mine on the 2nd, it shipped on the 7th and I got it on the 9th. Thankfully, they didn't ship me a Rio Volt, which is what I feared. I guess SB is using some implementation of a FILO queue or something.
