Having successfully loaded hijack onto 2.00b7, the changes I make within config.ini to alter the IR remote behaviour have no effect.

I have altered my user name within config.ini, and this change can be viewed on the player after synch, hence the config.ini communication is working.

On activating the hijack menu and selecting 'Button Codes Display', none of my remote controls (TV, hi-fi, Pioneer CD-SR80) produce a hex code on the display. The RIO IR however produces the hex code, as expected.

What am I doing wrong ?

Only remotes that use the same frequency range as the Rio remote will work.

does the pioneer CD-SR80 use a similar frequency to the RIO remote ? Is any other prompt within the config.ini required in order for the empeg to recognise 'foreign' frequencies ?

I just fitted a brand new battery in the Pioneer remote by the way ....

(clutching at straws, not for the first time)

No there is nothing that you can change to get it to recognise other frequencies.
