Hi,

I ordered a Unit from the SonicBlue web site on Monday. They said that they had units in stock. As of right now it says pending shipment. Does anyone know what the chances of me actually getting a unit are?

I would say %99.99, barring any natural disaster, lying estore, or FedEx strike..

Sonic Blue is Rio's online store, correct? I was concerned because of some of the posts I read about them being completly sold out, etc. I hope you are correct. I am really excited about getting this unit,

I hope I'm correct too.. I have heard however, of the estore saying things were delivered, but never were (which falls under the lying portion of my original statement).. But the Shipment Pending means they have the unit waiting to go out in a large box with no packing material.. (Don't worry, the empeg itself has foam around it in it's own box..)

Where are you viewing your order status? Sonicblue's web site seems to suck really bad.. I can't find order status or anything! Here's to hoping they start shipping again soon..

i called today to check the status on an order i placed the 22nd, and they informed me it was 'canceled', even though they didn't contact me and the web site said 'Has product pending shipment'

that was for a 60gb unit, which the helpful (finally, a good rep!) lady said showed a status of 0. i then placed an order for a 30gb over the phone, of which she said there were 180+

she told me that the numbers in the system aren't kept to date at all, and there may in fact be 60gb and 30gb, or none....

so i'm back with you guys, waiting with crossed fingers! i feel a little more confident having talked to this rep rather than placed the order online. sonic|blue doesn't seem to have a firm grasp on what they have....

not to mention they were changing warehouses and weren't shipping product again until today, the 30th.

The Sonic Blue web site says that they are out of all players now. But the US site is still taking orders, and says they have them in stock. So who knows what the deal is.... Hopefully the ones ordered from a few days ago will go out.

Be weary even after talking to a good rep. I too placed my order online and saw no change in my status. When I called the rep told me that there was no chance on me getting one. I asked her to cancel my order and bought one of the painfully priced ebay models.

That night I got another order confirmation (not cancellation mind you.) The next day I called and talked to another rep. He told me that my order was unchanged and that they don't have any real-time access to the SB inventory. Again I asked him to cancel my order. He told me that it was all set.

That night I got a shipping notice. I ended up getting my unit the next week.

My story has a happy ending (didn't think I would get a player period now I have two.) But I don't think the telephone operators are given enough info to definitively answer the "will I get one?" question.

When I ordered my 30 I also ordered a tuner, (this was almost a month ago. Even though the tuner was marked as out of stock and the 30gb was marked as in stock I received the tuner about a week before I got the player. The customer service for sonic blue is terrible. Some of the worst I've dealt with. Oh well, I got what I ordered and I expect you will too.

Yeah I just ordered one this week as well. I got 2 emails. The first confirming my order, then the 2nd saying it was being proccessed and should be shipped within the next 24 hours. Anyone else have any luck?

God, I hope so.. I just got my second (confirmation) email, saying it should be shipped within 24 hours. I got this email 2 days after placing the order, and it's today on the 30th, so I'm assuming they didn't send out the 24 hour email until they actually started processing at the new warehouse.. it gives me hope!

I ordered a 30g on 1/24, received the 'processing order' email on 1/25 and then a 'it's shipped' email on 1/30. I'm tracking it through FedEx right now. It was shipped from Scottsdale AZ.

I ordered a 30 gig off sonic blue last Wednesday, I got second day air and was way happy when I actually got it 2 days later.... I then found a guy to sell me a FM module for 200 bucks (I know, but it was way cheaper than ebay) and just recieved that yesterday so I'm all set.

Well I hoping that I'll get this soon. I just checked the status on my order and this is what it says: "Order Status: Has Products Pending Shipment." So I'm guessing that they have them instock and just waiting to be shipped out.

I just spoke with a customer service rep at SonicBlue, who basically repeated the same order status I could see on my own computer..

But he told me about the relocation of their warehouse from San Jose to Scottsdale, and said they'd ship as soon as the new warehouse was open. I asked when that would be. He told me they didn't have an exact date, but they've been told that it will be the beginning of next week -- d'oh!

I asked if they had enough units to cover the number ordered and he said they did not have that information.. rather than saying something comforting, such as their order system actually knows how many they have.. double d'oh!

*sigh*.. I guess we just have to wait and see.. I got my 24 hour shipping notice email last night, which gave me hope since I had ordered 2 days before.. but maybe it means nothing.

Hmm.. maybe the guy I spoke to today was a total dumbass.. if yours shipped from Scottsdale, we know they're at least partially moved and resuming shipping.. maybe his info was "early next week" which was from last week, meaning that it would be THIS week..

Well, I just got my shipping confirmation from sonic blue. Should be here on monday since fedex doesn't deliever on saturdays. Well good luck to the rest of you who ordered.

I've been following it's journey from Scottsdale to Sacramento on the Fed Ex tracking site. As of 1pm this afternoon it was in Oakland. I should have it tomorrow.

From everything I've read I figured calling SonicBlue regarding any kind of order status or stock level information would be fruitless. I just ordered the thing and figured it'll come or it won't. Now if only this tuner availability problem can be fixed.

Well the only place I've seen the tuner was on ebay. runs about $200 now a days. If you find one elsewhere, let me know.

Damn, I ordered mine on tuesday too, but hasn't shipped yet.. hopefully today!

Well I ordered mine on tuesday as well, its been shipped and was at my door an hour ago, but no one was home to sign for it. I gotta go pick it up at 5 tonight.

I ordered my new 60 gig on the 26th and got it today - just now. Yahoo!

BTW, this one came stuffed inside a outer container that was FULL of PEANUTS! Wow, they are making progress!

Poop.. my 30gb ordered on the 28th did not ship today =( I guess no hope until monday? (Or do they process orders over the weekend)? Damn, I was hoping to have it by next week (Fedex Saver 3-4 day shipping).. that's looking bad. Oh well, I don't mind it taking awhile, I'll just be pissed if they take a week to tell me I'm not getting one..

I called them today, and the swore up and down that they hadn't shipped anything in a week, and wouldn't be shipping anything until monday. I give up. I am in the process of buying one from someone on the boards, who was nice enough to sell me a brand new 30 gig unit for his cost, the same as sonic blue is selling them for now.

If I somehow manage to get one from sonic blue eventually, I will just sell it to someone on the board for my cost with shipping.

I ordered a 30 GB on 1/27, received an email Confirmation a few minutes later, then I received a Status email on 1/29 and just a little while ago today I got my Shipping Notification.
Too bad I chose regular shipping.;(

My 30gb ordered from SB on 1/24 is now in my grubby little paws - shipped 1/30 and arrived today.

I ordered very early Friday. By the time I checked on Sat it had the order as pending. By Mon I got a shipped already with a FedEX number status - but the FedEx # was not avialable on line. Tuesday I got a call from the Wife saying it had arrived before I could check FedEx's site. I (I think) ordered ground shipping.
