Right click image, Save Picture as -> [filename on your drive].
Transfer your local copy to your webpage/ISP. Set up the BBS to point to that.

Actually, I like attaching the image to one of my posts and then linking it from the attachment. That way, there's not a chance that my local ISP can be down and cause broken image links for my picture.

Good option! - if the BBS is up, so's the image...

Anyway, the gist is store it somewhere where it'll be available even when you're own machine is off-line - and where no innocent third partys bandwidth gets used.

And while we're on the subject of those pictures...

Everyone: The image size is 65x75 pixels. If you link a picture that is larger than this, it will get squished and look jagged, as well as consume unnecessary bandwidth for everyone who downloads it. So if you're going to link a pic, use your image-editing software to re-size it properly to 65x75 before saving it.

Not to mention that it takes that much longer to download, which, while not a problem for those of us with broadband access, is a real problem for those who are using modems. Bruno used to complain about that all the time (snif).

Due to the time needed, I didn't bother complaining about this earlier in the week when my CDPD modem was my internet access. Thats a 14.4k max connection, with averages much lower.

Certain threads were a bit painful to load, so I now have quite a bit of catch up reading to do since I never bothered to read certain fourm sections.

I think this was his last post. I did a search for 'bruno' since he has his name in his signature.
