emplode allows you insert or append songs into the currently playing playlist. That's useful because you can have your tunes playing but pick a song that will play next. After your inserted song plays, the original playlist then continues as before. Smooth.

Is there a remote or serial command I can send via ftp to Hijack to do the same? I see a play command in the serial commands list, but no insert or append to the dynamic playlist.

There is not a HiJack or serial command that can do this, yet.

There is no serial or hijack command to do this, but it is possible within the emplode protocols, since you can do it from a button in emplode.
