All,

Whilst driving in today, I was listening to a random list of everything in my empeg. It happened to play a song I'd not heard for a while, and I thought to myself:

"I really like this song, wasn't that album really good too?"

So, in the midst of driving , I started navigating the playlists to find the album in question.

When I got into work, I suddenly thought that it would be excellent to have a button/function/random esp moment, that selected the playlist that a song came from.

I've basically given this little thought as to how to implement, but it would be an excellent feature!

Comments?

Paul

They are planning on implementing that very feature in an upcoming revision. The plan is: If you turn off shuffle play, it'll continue playing with the unshuffled version of the same playlist.

The only thing missing now is a single-button "Shuffle on/off" control on the remote. I vote that we start to use up the number keys for that kind of thing (as long as we leave 1 and 4 alone, as I've stated in another thread). When in straight play mode, the numbers aren't used for anything and they'd be perfect for new one-press functions. Once you enter a menu, then the number keys could become re-activated as numbers.

Aah, I *had* read the other posts, but somehow hadn't made a connection between the two.

All in all, an excellent, and fantastic feature!

Roll on 10b!

Paul.

Roll on 10b!

Don't expect it as early as 10b. They said they had to rework the playlist structure before that feature would happen.

What's wrong with text based systems? Crack your knuckles, flex your fingers and type with a little more sarcasm that's all. ;)
