please excuse this "Faq-bound" question, but what does marking a track do? I've looked all over the Faq but can't seem to find the answer. Thanks.

It's just used to remind you of something. Like if you were listening to a track and it had the title spelled wrong you could mark it so you would remember to fix it next time you do a sync.
