I've never seen this one mentioned before:
http://www.hobbytron.net/product288.html
EDIT: I took the question mark out of the subject. So sue me.

Is that a rhetorical question?

Someone let me know if they are actually able to GET a player from them. And if so, how many do they have in stock and where did they get them? I'd be interested in that information before I add that site to the FAQ.

Here's the low-down... he's a Japanese anime character called Domo-Kan. True to Japanese Pop Culture form, he has an odd story. He is a monster who was discovered underground in an egg. Do a search on him and you will find site devoted to him. More interesting is his American history. Someone fell in love with him and he has a 2nd identity in the US. He became famous with the photo of him (2 of him actually) chasing a kitten through the grass with the quote "Everytime you Masterbate, God Kills a Kitten." He is really cool. I'm thinking of buying a plush one and putting one in my trunk instead of a monkey.
We can discuss further in Off Topic. I'd be interested to see what others on this board have to offer.
Rob, re-reading my post, I hope I didn't come off as being cocky. I have just been wanting to post that pic for days and jumped at the chance!

Not at all. I should have put a smiley after my edit.

Yeah. That's why I originally had a question mark in the subject.
Since we have never seen this guy before, I think it's possible that he's waiting for stock. But from where?
It's also possible he had only 3 total and sold them out before he could promote it here.

Shadow, actually, I was so amused by the kitten photo that I cropped out the quote and put it on a bunch of machines here at work. Then I saw a few posts of yours, found where you were hosting your pic, saw some other pics in the same directory and figured out the name of the character. Then I did a Google search and learned the whole story! Sorry if it was intrusive, but I wanna buy a plush one now.

There's an empeg tree in a little town in Kansas. But be advised, you have to befriend the locals before they'll let you pick from the tree.
Besides that, I don't know, unless you want to check out the old rumor that there's a Rio spring somewhere in the mountains of southern Mexico.

I called the place (They are local to me), and the gal that answered the phone said that when they get an order, they have the manufacter <SP> ship it directly the their customer. I said, "so no more since they were EOL'ed then huh..." she repeated that they were shipped out direct, and they had none in stock. Of course, she didn't seem all too bright...

Carplayer.com is the "Manufacture" Gina mentioned to you on the phone, and any orders placed at Hobbytron for the EMPEG units will not be shipped due to very limited stock, sorry everyone.
