I had been meaning to buy a spare remote and had forgotten completely that today was the last day for any orders. I put in an order at 11:40pm GMT roughly. Will this get through?

I also stupidly closed the order confirmation window before printing it and now I have absolutely no record of the order. I even hunted through the cache, but it seems that since it was all https:// pages, IE doesn't cache them.

Should I get an email confirmation? If so after about 20 minutes I still have received anything.

I ordered a remote a few weeks back, but I never got an e-mail confirmation even though I did receive the remote. So not getting one doesn't mean your order didn't go through.

I ordered a sled and a remote a couple of days ago and did not receive any confirmation, however I did print the order receipt. It does not say that you will get confirmation. I figure that Rob or David, or whoever handles the orders, is probably "slammed" right now, so I have not bothered them. If I don't receive them in a couple of weeks, I will inquire, If your order is rejected, I am sure you will hear about it soon.

Thanks guys,

I'm kicking myself for closing the window though. Normally I would always print a receipt like this. Hopefully it will get through. I assume when they stop orders, the web store page will say so and it still seems to be there.

If the store took the order, then it will get processed.

There is no email confirmation and as we've been hecticly busy over the past couple of weeks, there is no shipping confirmation email either.

David,

The store definitely took the order and I got a confirmation page (that I forgot to print). It's been over 3 weeks now and I haven't received anything. Can you tell me if I missed out or not (Christian Hack in Australia should be enough info I think)? I don't have a credit card statement yet to see if I got billed or not.

I also happen to be in Singapore so I can run on down to Simlim to "Ye Olde Remote Control Shoppe" and pick up something very similar hopefully. Kenwood KCA-R600 appears to be a good replacement.

Or can you point me towards the correct person since you seem to be more the tech support guru?

Thanks,
Christian

There are no more sleds available for purchase.

Check out the threads on a group buy of connectors. For instance Received Confirmation from digi-key - Connector .

With one of these and an old sled from another brand stereo - most likely something from the 80's (check pawn shops, garage sales and the dusty storerooms of stereo shops) - and some ingenuity, or a friend handy with a sheet metal brake, you can fix up a replacement sled.
