I believe this has been mentioned earlier, by someone else (and myself ??)

I would really love a command for muting/unmuting the empeg thru the serial port. This command would display a string of text in the display, saying that the empeg is muted by the cell phone. A nice thing would be that the volume fades down, not completly, but enough for one to hear what's going on on the cell phones handsfree set when a call is active. It should then fade the volume backup up again afterwards.

The Mark2 Units already have a specific input wire for cell phone muting- no serial interface required. I don't know if there's any text displayed when it does that.

I already knew that for the MKII, but I have a MKI, and have built myself
a PIC mute circuit. It would then be cool if there could be some text in
the display when it is muted.
