I've put full Beta 11 on (upgraded through every version including the ir fix stuff) and it's hung at 3:07 in one of my songs...
Disc icon was on screen, visuals were still going, but no life from the buttons or remote... =(
It played the first few songs up to it fine...

I power cycled, and it continued the track from about 3:50...
Playing through the song again, it was fine, until 3:28 when the counter jumped about 6 seconds, then went back again (the music was fine, just the display jumped)...

It's a vbr file... Has anyone else see this?

Do us a favor and go download MP3Trim from here. You don't need to trim the song, just use its "advanced info" button and have it analyze whether there's a problem with the frames or not. It's possible that the MP3 has some kind of a problem with one of the frames that's causing the Empeg player software to choke on it.

While I'm at it, I'm going to go to the General forum and tell everyone about the new feature of MP3trim that can adjust the amplification of the file without decoding/encoding it...

No errors in the file that it paused on (I didn't expect to find any, 'cause it's played it back ok before, including after the hang)

However, a couple of the other tracks caused mp3trim to return a file too big error... =)
