My droputs aren't as long as yours. Mine are more like a 1/2 second long. Same duration whether searching or playing waves, but it happens a lot more frequently with wave files than with searching during playback. I'd say the waves do it 95% of the time every 3 minutes of play or so. I do have Hijack installed, but it did it before Hijack was installed too.
