Even though I don't have a Netflix account, I too saw some problems. I dove into the menus down to the "Free Trial" screen and back out. On the way out, there was a really long pause on a gray screen. I was thinking about pulling the plug when it came back. Even then the "Broadband Video" screen had thin gray pillerboxes. Very odd that, they were less than 1/4 the width of normal pillerboxes.

Even the "Amazon on Demand' screens are acting up. When scrolling through the Top Movie Rentals, at times the menus froze. Tivo did queue up all the remote clicks and burned through them when it unfroze.
