Where I am, about an hour out of Toronto it's gotten to about 36 for at least two days this week. I've heard 40 on the radio from Toronto stations, but don't know how/where they're measuring. With humidity factored in, it's supposed to "feel" well above 40. I've been in Portugal in supposed 40 degree weather and this feels worse, likely because of the humidity (Portugal is pretty arid).
BTW, I live here and can tell you straight up that the numbers on Weather Underground for this week, at least as recorded an hour out of Toronto South West), are bullshit. Just saying. Maybe their readings come from right by the lake. Or an air conditioned monitoring station.

The temperatures for the low days this week were most definitely not 26 degrees.
