The MK2a is dead, here is the thread.
I believe that the problem is bad flash. Everything else seems to work fine (ie: display) so it might be a good parts unit.

I have an original empeg canvas bag and at least one sled. I'm still trying to find the other sled (I know I put it in a box somewhere!). I also have two remotes and power supplies.

Any takers?

genixia from the BBS looked at it and I believe that he talked to Rob regarding the problem but he wasn't able to get it fixed. It's definately an ex-empeg!

As fas as the two empeg units go, I was thinking perhaps $225 for the MK2 and $75 for the MK2a.

Do those prices seem fair?

If you just need the encoder, I have a whole mess of Mk2 ones. You would have to get a Mk2 knob (available from Greenlights), but it will work electronically on the Mk2a display board. The encoders are free, just PM with with your address.

Aren't the Mk2 encoders smooth rather than clicky? I need to replace mine as well and have just been lazy.

Mk2 encoders are more clicky.
