I guess they do now, but they didn't when Mike and I were little. We definitely got zee, plus occasional segments in (Latin American) Spanish.

No, just an inverted cone. Ever seen those things at malls that you put a coin in and it circles around and down until it falls out the bottom?

OH! I get it. I was stuck on the cone being the curtain behind him... it didn't dawn on me that the cone is made of a clear plastic sheet. Cool!

Sesame Street produces local segments that differ based on cultural backgrounds. Perhaps you don't say 'zee' because the 'zee' bits were replaced with 'zed' bits?
Perhaps they do now, but did they over (cough) twenty-five years ago? This article would imply not:

Has anyone posted a link to 'Get Perpendicular'? Well, with this article being in yesterday's Slashdot, I figure it's time for a link. Kudos to Hitachi for the retro 'SchoolHouse Rock' feel. http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/research/recording_head/pr/PerpendicularAnimation.htmlBTW- anyone want to take bets on what date someone will put a perpendicular laptop drive into an empeg?

Should be easy enough -- just need a connector-adapter, and then an 80GB iPod to strip a drive out of (or an 80GB Dell X1 notebook).

Uncanny! That's exactly how I play those video rally games!
Hmm- anyone got ideas on how to 're-sync' the sound after a few minutes?

The Osmonds, Crazy Horses. It's like a gay Deep Purple. I llike the note and the chord change going into the chorus, and the guitar solo on the bridge is a lot of fun.

I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that some YouTube newb posted a video of an Apple ad that was available on Apple's web site the day they were released to networks. In fact they're still available on Apple's site and without the flash encoding craptitude.

Which are here, by the way. Posted here on the BBS before, but I'm just putting the link here again to be pedantic. Quote: and without the flash encoding craptitude.
Well, maybe the other side of the coin is that perhaps someone doesn't want to install QuickTime because it puts iTunes on their computer too, and it's too big of a download or it takes too much disk space, but they've already got flash.
(Now, me... I know where to find the small-print link to the standalone quicktime player, and therefore can install quicktime without iTunes, but not everyone does.)
