Yes.

Here in Norway we have something called a minibus license (D1), opposed to (D) for normal buses, which entitles one to drive a mininus which is more than 10 seats (in total) upto 16 (total), no more that 16meters long. You have to take
terory course and a test, plus practial lessons and a test (and pass them) to
get your license.

Norway is adapting to the EC regulations, so I'm not that sure if these minibus licenses will be 'available' to take for all time time come.

As for trucks over 3501kg upto 7500kg we have a license for that to called (C1) as opposed to C for all heavy trucks over 7500kg. The nice thing for me is that I'm old enough (ughhh) so that I got this license for 'free', because earlier you got he
right to drive truck upto 7500kg when obtaining your normal (B) license.
Now you have to take a separate test if you want the (D1) license.

I have a class (A) for motorbikes to, this class is again divided into i think 3 subclasses. This is for age and motorvolume. (Againg separate tests/lessons)

I have heard some roumours that the Germans don't like the Norwegian minibus license and that they are abit strict with letting you drive there in a minius.
But here in Scandinavia the cops don't care, I've been pulled over by cops and stopped by the customs for check, they wish you a happy drive.
